The highly-popular Taste: Iron Chef Competition is set to take place on Friday, September 26 from 6-9pm. Taste: Iron Chef will be held at The Culinary Institute of Charleston at Palmer Campus in downtown Charleston. This 26,000-square-foot facility features a 50-seat restaurant, 100-seat ampitheater and demonstration kitchen, a production kitchen, a teaching kitchen, and more.
This year’s competing chefs include: Kelly Franz of Magnolias and Landen Ganstrom of Crave Kitchen + Cocktails versus Allison Porter of Tristan Events and Mike Petrillo of Lokal Seabar Restaurant. After the secret ingredient is announced, chefs will have 45 minutes to create and cook at least four dishes to be judged by a panel of experts.
Reserved Ampitheater Seating is sold out, but there are still some General Admission tickets still available for $25 each, which include televised viewing of the competition throughout the Culinary Institute of Charleston’s multiple viewing rooms. General Admission tickets also include complimentary beer, wine and heavy hors d’oeuvres.
