The annual Southern Living Taste of Charleston which is executed by the Charleston Restaurant Association will take place September 28 -30. The weekend will feature two new events: Taste: Sweet & Southern on Shem Creek and Taste: Dine Around.
Taste: Sweet & Southern on Shem Creek, sponsored by Restaurant Solutions, Inc, will take place Saturday, September 29 at the Lighthouse on Shem Creek. The event will feature performances from world-renowned singer/songwriters including award winning singer/songwriter Rob Crosby. Attendees will also enjoy Lowcountry Cuisine served by a variety of local caterers as well as moonlit harbor cruises. Tickets are available now at CharlestonRestaurantAssociation.com for $50 or at the door the night of the event for $60.
Taste: Dine Around, sponsored by Sysco, will be held at participating restaurants throughout the Charleston area on both Friday, September 28 and Saturday, September 29. The Dine Around will feature a three course menu paired with a specialty/craft beer. Participating Restaurants Include: Downtown Restaurants: 82 Queen, Lowcountry Bistro, Tristan, Hall’s Chophouse, ‘Cesca Charleston, Noisy Oyster, Tsunami, Jim N’ Nick’s, AW Shucks, Tommy Condons, Sermet’s Downtown, Eli’s Restaurant, Toast!, Tabbuli Grill, Hyman’s Seafood, Southend Brewery, Fulton Five and Basil Restaurant. Kiawah Restaurants: The Ocean Room and Jasmine Porch. Mt. Pleasant Restaurants: 17 North Roadside Kitchen, Graze, Zeus Grill & Seafood, Langdon’s, Opal Restaurant & Bar, Eurasia, Mosaic Cafe, Next Door Bistro, Red Drum, Basil Restaurant, Gullah Cuisine, Finz Bar & Grill, Fuji Sushi Bar & Grill, Bricco Bracco, J. Paul’z and Carter’s Kitchen. Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island Restaurants: Huck’s Lowcountry Table, Sea Island Grill @ Wild Dunes, and Station 22 Restaurant & Bar.
